Diamondhead city manager resigns; search on to fill post

Diamondhead City Manager Michael Reso resigned his position on Friday.

The city council met in a special call session to accept his resignation.

City Attorney Derek Cusick made the announcement Friday.

In a statement to the media, Cusick said the resignation was effective immediately.

“We thank Michael for his service and dedication to the city of Diamondhead. The city has a bright future with many future projects on the horizon,” Cusick said.

“The city will begin the search for our new city manager to help us enact that bright future.”

Comptroller Jon McCraw will serve as interim city manager during the application process, Cusick said.

Reso became city manager in 2018. He was a financial planner before taking the post with Diamondhead.
