Deputies pushing up for Special Olympics
Today at Rock N’ Nutrition in Escatawpa, Jackson County sheriff’s deputies were collecting donations for Special Olympics Mississippi.
For every dollar donated, the deputies will do one push up. On a later date, the Jackson County deputies will gather together to do the pushups. They’re going to post a video on social media challenging another law enforcement agency and rumor has it that it will be Biloxi PD.
They are hopeful that agencies across the Coast will participate for the cause. Captain Randy Muffley said, “It’s great to see these kids be involved in these sports. It makes them feel included. They get to be a teammate and be a part of something bigger than themselves.”
