Department of Health puts hold on medical cannabis sales

The state Department of Health on  Thursday halted sales of on a number of medical cannabis products pending re-testing.

The Health Department said in a statement on its website that the move was made to protect the health and safety of its medical cannabis patients.

The testing will be done to make sure products meet regulatory standards. It also said retesting would be done as quickly as possible but did not give a time frame.

In the meantime, sales are halted on these products and no supplies will be sent to dispensaries until the Department of Health lifts the administrative hold.
