Deceased Woman Found in Jeep Identified
The woman found dead inside of her jeep at the Love’s Gas Station parking lot in Biloxi yesterday has been identified.
According to Harrison County Coroner Gary Hargrove, the woman was 44-year-old Michelle Cancienne of Murphy, North Carolina.
Cancienne had been reported missing by her family a week ago, on August 6th. The last time they saw her was on July 30th when she was supposed to be traveling from Baton Rouge back to North Carolina but the focus turned to Mississippi when her father tracked her last credit card use to a Pass Christian Wal-Mart.
“We’re in the process now of trying to track her movements,” said Hargrove, “I’ve got Pass Christian police helping right now track that purchase she made at Wal-Mart on the first to see exactly what time of day it was and what she bought and was she by herself or with somebody.”
While authorities say no signs of foul play were evident at the scene, Hargrove says the exact cause of death is still to be determined. Results from a toxicology report will be complete in four to six weeks.
