Deadline to get Real ID is approaching
BILOXI, Miss. (WXXV)- The deadline to switch to a Real ID is coming up fast.
As a result, some driver service bureau offices in Mississippi are offering weekend hours to help you get your Real ID ahead of time.
Ten driver bureaus in the state will be open on three Saturdays over the course of the next month, April 12th, 26th, and May 3rd.
The only Coast location that will be open on these dates is the Biloxi location on Highway 67.
A Real ID has a gold star in the top corner and after the deadline, a Real ID will be required in order for you to board commercial flights and enter certain federal facilities.
If you need to make an appointment for a Real ID, remember to bring your birth certificate, social security card, and two proofs of Mississippi residency.
