Deadline to apply for Gulfport Mayor’s Youth Council approaching

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- The deadline to apply for the Gulfport Mayor’s Youth Council is coming up fast.

Friday, August 28 at 5 p.m. is the last chance to sign up.

Twenty-five students will be selected to serve, learn, and lead alongside Mayor Hugh Keating and city leadership for the upcoming school year.

Juniors and seniors who live within Gulfport city limits are applicable to apply.

City leaders say the selection is competitive and comparative.
