Day Two of SRHS Settlement Hearing

Still no decision by U.S. District Judge Louis Guirola after another long day in court hearing from attorneys to determine if the Singing River pension plan settlement is fair and reasonable but the two long days in court are over.
Today the court heard from several witnesses called by retiree attorneys Earl Denham and Harvey Barton. Multiple retirees who oppose the settlement took the stand expressing their concerns, while one who welcomes the settlement testified to the court.
Judge Guirola says he will carefully review the evidence and documents before making a thoughtful decision, noting he is more concerned about getting it done right than getting it done quickly.
