Day one of the MS Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo wraps up
Day one of the Mississippi Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo wrapped up today and it was nothing short of exciting.
When the scales closed at 6 p.m., 14 of the 25 categories of fish had been weighed. The heaviest creature today was a 78-pound 15-ounce stingray.
Each fish caught was then placed on a large ice display for all the guests to see.
While all 25 categories have not been seen yet, there are still there days of rodeo action left for people to try and place.
Along with the regular rodeo, the event will also host a kid’s rodeo. MS Deep Sea Fishing Rodeo Weigh Master Donnie Armes said, “We have a good time, and tomorrow, tomorrow’s our favorite day. Tomorrow’s our kids day. It’s the youth of our fishing. We have 55 places we give out for them in 11 categories tomorrow. We’ll weigh in close to 200 kids will weigh fish tomorrow.”
Gates and scales will open tomorrow at noon.
