Dak Prescott leads Cowboys to postseason win over Tampa Bay Bucs
Dallas Cowboys Quarterback Dak Prescott joined some elite company in last night’s playoff win over the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.
The Mississippi State alum became just the fourth QB in the Super Bowl era to throw four touchdowns and rush for another score, the others being Peyton Manning, Aaron Rodgers, and Matt Ryan.
It was a complete team win for Big D, despite four missed extra points in the Cowboys first road playoff win since 1992.
Most importantly for Dak, his first game without an interception since pre-Thanksgiving. “I got away from the way I play this game. I got greedy. Tried to just force some throws, tried to take the big ones and that’s not who I’ve been throughout my career, taking what they give me, waiting on the big shot. I think it was uncharacteristic, so yeah, sure, it was a way for me to dial it back in. But at the sense, I wiped that clean and I knew what this game meant. I knew how important it was for us.”
The Cowboys take on the San Francisco 49ers in the Divisional Round Sunday at 5:30 p.m. on WXXV on Fox.
