Cultivation of Marijuana Arrest – Austin Thomas Hester

On May 25, 2018 at approximately 5:51 p.m., the Gulfport Police Department arrested 23 year old Austin Thomas Hester, of Gulfport, for one count of Cultivation of Marijuana. His bond was set at $15,000 by Harrison County Justice Court Judge Brandon Ladner.

The arrest was the result of a patrol response to a disturbance call in the 14000 block of Marie Road. While investigating the complaint, Patrol Officers observed seven marijuana plants growing in the backyard of the residence. A Detective responded and obtained a search warrant for the property. Detectives located a room used to grow marijuana inside of the residence. As a result of the investigation Hester was charged with Cultivation of Marijuana. He was served on his warrant at the Harrison County Adult Detention Center. Hester had already been arrested on an unrelated charge.
