CTA fare changes take effect today
Coast Transit Authority has announced a fare change that takes effect today.
The fare change will be for the basic regular adult bus fare going from $1.50 to $1.75. Half fares for senior citizens, Medicare patients and people with disabilities are going from 75 cents to 85 cents.
The increased fares do not affect any other fares or any daily, three-day, or 31-day passes or the ADA/Para-transit rates.
CTA is raising the fares to offset inflation increases.
