CTA bus route schedule for Cruisin’ the Coast

Coast Transit Authority has released their fixed bus route schedule and express route for Cruisin’ the Coast.

Due to excessive travel along Highway 90 and Pass Road during the event, major delays are expected for some of the CTA routes. They will be doing everything to run as close to their regular scheduled times listed on the CTA Rider’s Guide.

Express Route

• Friday and Saturday, October 10 and 11 – On these event days to help with rider connections during excessive traffic on Highway 90, a (temporary) Express Route will operate between the Gulfport and Biloxi Transit Centers for passengers with a non-stop route (only getting off the bus at the transit center) via the interstate.
• The Beachcomber route on these days will end at 1:00 p.m. at the Biloxi and Gulfport Transit Centers, and the Express Route will begin with an express bus at 1:00 p.m. With no stops in between, the departures at each transit center will be approximately 1:00 p.m., 1:45 p.m., 2:30 p.m., 3:15 p.m., 4:00 p.m., 4:45 p.m., 5:30 p.m., 6:15 p.m., 7:00 p.m., and 7:45 p.m. (being the final departure for the day).
• There will be one fare per express route ride.

Cruisin’ The Coast – CTA Schedule (Alternate Routes & Cancellations)

Sunday, October 5

• All Day – Route 34-Pass Road and Route 37-Gulfport will have an Alternate Transfer Point at 22nd Ave. and 22nd Street in Gulfport, due to “View the Cruise” all day.

Wednesday, October 8

• Beachcomber will have NO service to Treasure Bay bus stop in the parking lot (the pick-up/drop-off location will be on Hwy 90). See the reference event map from CTA for details.
• The Biloxi Block Party is set for this day (8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.). CTA is monitoring any possible road detours and will post this information on the Coast Transit Authority Facebook page.

Thursday, October 9

• Beachcomber will have NO service on westbound route at Edgewater Village or to Treasure Bay bus stop in parking lot. (Pick-up/drop-off location for Treasure Bay will be on Hwy 90.)
• D’Iberville-Route 4 will have NO service along Auto Mall Parkway.
• Ocean Springs-Route 7 will have NO service on Washington Ave and Government Street west of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue.

Friday, October 10

• Beachcomber will have NO service on westbound route at Edgewater Village or to Treasure Bay Bus Stop in Parking Lot (pick-up/drop-off location for Treasure Bay will be on Hwy 90). Beachcomber Route will end at 1:00 p.m. at the Biloxi Transit Center and the Gulfport Transit Center – An Express Route will pick up to connect passengers to the two transit centers with a non-stop route via the interstate.

• D’Iberville-Route 4 will have NO service along Auto Mall Parkway.
• Ocean Springs-Route 7 will have NO service on Washington Ave. and Government Street west of Martin Luther King Jr Avenue.
• Route 34-Pass Road will have no service on Eisenhower Drive or C.T. Switzer Avenue to Edgewater Mall after 12:35 p.m. (Pick-up/drop-off location will be on Pass Rd.)  Route 34-Pass Road will end service at approximately 6:49 p.m. 

Saturday, October 11

• Beachcomber will have NO service on westbound route at Edgewater Village or to Treasure Bay Bus Stop in Parking Lot ( pick-up/drop-off location for Treasure Bay will be on Hwy 90). Beachcomber Route will end at 1:00 p.m. at the Biloxi Transit Center and the Gulfport Transit Center – An Express Route will pick up to connect passengers to the two transit centers with a non-stop route via the interstate.
