CSX plans work at Hanley Road crossing on Aug. 26
CSX railroad is planning a two-day closure for the crossing at Hanley Road in Ocean Springs next week.
Ray Porter with Benchmark Consulting said the production team is working on the rail and repaving each crossing as they go.
While the closing is expected to last two days, it can last up to five days or longer, contingent on the weather or equipment delays.
Porter also stressed the timetable is tentative and is subject to change.
The maintenance is necessary for the safety of train operations and roadway traffic, and CSX appreciates the patience of the community while they complete this important work, Porter said.
