Cruisin’ the Coast Wraps Up Another Record Breaking Year

Cruisin’ the Coast wraps up another record breaking year. A total of 7,639 vehicles registered for Cruisin’ the Coast. That’s 346 more than last year’ total. Vehicles traveled from over 45 different states and even as far as Canada and Sweden to come cruising right here along the Gulf. The week-long event brought a lot of money to local businesses and some lucky Cruisers. Cruisin’ gave away $20,000 worth of prizes and awards to those registered, but the awards didn’t stop there. Woody Bailey said, "Not only did someone win a Chevelle. We gave Make-A-wish $25,500 for their fund, and we had a young boy here who got up on stage with you who’s a recipient of one of the wishes. So that was special to have someone there who’s a beneficiary of Make-A-Wish." More than a thousand vehicles are already registered for next year’s Cruisin’ the Coast.
