Cruisin’ The Coast to be headquartered at Jones Park; over 8,400 cars registered

GULFPORT, Miss. — (WXXV) — America’s largest block party will soon return to the Coast for its 29th year, bringing with it thousands of people from all over the world.

With over 8,400 classic cars preregistered for the event, it looks like this will be another big year for Cruisin’ The Coast. Executive Director Woody Bailey says that of that number, 41 states are represented, and for outside the U.S.… we have Canada, England, and Australia.

There is a lot to look forward to this year, but one big change can be expected. Cruise Central will no longer be at Centennial Plaza. It will instead be moving to Jones Park, which Bailey says is a positive change.

He says the move is expected to make the event safer and easier to access.

Cruisin’ The Coast will take place from October 5 to 12, and registration will be back open on the 6th for those who still wish to participate. For a full list of events, visit Cruisinthecoast.com.
