Cruisin’ the Coast organizers expecting biggest turnout

In Gulfport, Cruisin’ the Coast volunteers were up bright and early at Centennial Plaza, also known as Cruise Central, preparing for registration.

Last names that begin with A through K can pick up their packet today. On Tuesday, Cruisers with the last names L through Z can drive on by.

Last year was the only year that Cruisin’ the Coast ever slowed down mostly because of the pandemic and the bad weather South Mississippi was experiencing during the event.

Yet for their 25th anniversary, they’re expecting it to be the most successful Cruisin’ the Coast they’ve ever had. Registration Director Craig Grisoli said, “Early registration ended August 15th. We’ve got 8,043 people registered for the event. We’re guessing between 12 and 1,400 are going to register on site. So, my guess is about 92 or 93 hundred people this year.”

For those that did not pre-register, there will be registration on site on Wednesday.
