Cruisin’ the Coast Continues in Diamondhead with Blessing of the Classics

DIAMONDHEAD, Miss. (WXXV) — Hundreds gathered in Diamondhead on Wednesday to partake in the city’s annual Cruisin’ the Coast celebration, which included a parade and Blessing of the Classics.

Paradegoers lined the route to check out everything from vintage Broncos to colorful classic Chevrolets, all while catching plenty of beads and candy.

Blessing of the Classics also took place about halfway through the route. Seven priests, pastors and men of faith gathered to offer prayers over each of the hundreds of cars, presenting each one with a certificate as it rolled through.

Although the city’s Cruisin’ celebration at the Diamondhead Town Green had to be cut short due to weather, the event continues to be a Coast favorite.
