Cruisin’ the Coast continues as Cruisers monitor weather threat
GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)-Cruisers continue to enjoy events across South Mississippi despite the concern for the weather.
Cruisin’ organizers shared an update Wednesday evening saying they are still on for this weekend, but that they’re closely monitoring conditions for the weekend.
The only event cancellation so far are the Friday and Saturday concerts and fireworks at Hollywood Casino in Bay St. Louis and the Gulfport Dragway gasser events on Friday and Saturday.
Cruisers we talked to Wednesday say while they’re keeping an eye on things, the fun will continue for them in the days to come. Cruiser Joey LeBlanc said, “We’re having a blast! There’s plenty of cars, good people, good times, good bands, and great weather right now. The storm is coming and we’re going to try to dodge it and still have fun.”
Cruiser Kerry Cross said, “We come every year and we enjoy it. I think we’ve been coming for about 13 or 14 years. We’re not crazy about the weather that’s coming, but we’re going to enjoy it while we can.”
