Cruisin’ the Coast awarded ‘Best Event in the State’ at Pinnacle Awards

The biggest car show on Earth has a new title to add to its list: the best event in the state.

Last week, Cruisin’ the Coast was awarded the title ‘Best Event in the State’ during the Pinnacle Awards hosted by sales and marketing professionals.

The team with Cruisin’ was up against 13 other events for the award and still came out on top. The event is looking like it is only going to be getting bigger and better moving forward as well, seeing a growth in numbers compared to last year at the point of the registration process with 3,942 registered vehicles.

Waveland has also decided to partake in the Cruisin’ festivities this year for the first time since 2006. Cruisin’ the Coast Executive Director Woody Bailey said, “It’s very satisfying to see this event grow to where it’s grown and become what it’s become. I mean we were talking earlier, it’s just a fun event, it means so much. We wanted to do something to help the economy out for South Mississippi at a typical slow time of the year, which is in October and look what it’s turned into.”
