Cruisin’ in Paradise at Margaritaville Resort in Biloxi

Cruisers rolled into Margaritaville in Biloxi today to continue their celebrations.

Hundreds of cruisers from all over the country gathered at the land of cheeseburgers and margaritas for the annual Margaritaville Block Party.

There was plenty to do and see at the event, including vendors, live music, cool cars, and even hourly giveaways to win stays at a variety of coastal hotels and resorts for next year’s Cruisin’ party. Margaritaville Chief Marketing Officer Tessy Lambert said, “We have had people waiting behind me since 6:30 this morning to park in our front lawn. So, it’s the biggest it’s ever been this year.”

Some of these cruisers came out to show off their classic cars including first year Cruiser Anthony Irizarry from Tampa Bay, Florida. “Having a fantastic time. This place is amazing. If you are not here, you are not a car guy. Look around here, there’s people everywhere. There’s blower cars, all types of cars. This place is amazing.”

Special guests showed up at the event to do meet and greets and sign autographs as well including Amanda and Joe Martin from the show ‘Iron Resurrection.’ Joe Martin said, “I mean, without these shows and these people and the enthusiasm and these old cars, we wouldn’t have a show and we wouldn’t have a place to come. So, you know, all these people keep it alive. It makes it worth us doing our show.”

Event coordinators were worried at first about bad weather ruining the party, but are glad the sun came out and gave Cruisers a day to enjoy. “Having a sunshiny day like this has brought us a lot of relief. With the threat of rain yesterday, we thought we were going to have to move it under our building so you know this, we couldn’t have asked for anything better.”
