Cruisin’ at Captain Al’s for Toys for Tots

With Christmas just around the corner, the United States Marine Corps and Captain Al’s in Gulfport teamed up for their yearly Toys for Tots car show.

Though Cruisin’ the Coast is now in the rear-view mirror, local cruisers gathered in the Captain Al’s parking lot to give people another taste of the Gulf’s favorite car show.

The show raised money to help Toys for Tots, created by the U.S Marine Corps and give unwrapped toys to less fortunate children this Christmas.

Captain Al’s Steak and Seafood on Magnolia Street is an official drop-off point for Toys for Tots. Director of Operations/ Captain Al’s Owner Albert Magnusen and Stacey Magnusen said, “It’s a really big event that we’ve been doing probably for more than 10 years now. It always has a huge turnout and the whole community seems to love it and we just enjoy doing it.” “We have live music every year, we do prizes and giveaways, we have a 50-50 raffle, the car show, which is the number one thing. Everyone comes out to register their car, jeep, motorcycle.”
