Crews continue working woods fire in Hancock County

The Mississippi Forestry Commission is currently working a woods fire in Hancock County that started Thursday evening.

The fire is affecting over 285 acres in the area of Rocky Hill and Dedeaux Road near Highway 603.

According to Outreach Officer Kevin Craft, about 90 percent of the fire is contained as of Friday morning.

No structures were damaged during this woods fire.

There will be a lot of smoke I the area for the next few days or until the next significant rainfall.
