COVID-19: 862 new cases, 23 new deaths statewide

Today the Mississippi State Department of Health reported 862 new COVID-19 cases and 23 new deaths.

The statewide total now stands at 37,542 confirmed cases and 1,272 new deaths.

Here are the numbers for our area:

• Hancock County is now at 158 cases and 13 deaths
• Harrison County is now at 1,231 cases and 16 deaths
• Jackson County is now at 809 cases and 19 deaths
• Stone County is now at 80 cases and two deaths
• George County has 131 total cases and three deaths
• Pearl River County stands at 317 total cases and 32 deaths
