COVID-19: 703 new cases, 16 new deaths statewide

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 703 new COVID-19 cases in our state and 16 new deaths including two in Harrison County.

The statewide total stands at 33,591 confirmed cases and 1,204 deaths.

Here are the numbers in our area:

• Hancock County is now at 138 cases and 13 deaths
• Harrison County is now at 1,040 cases and 13 deaths
• Jackson County is now at 727 cases and 17 deaths
• Stone County is now at 73 cases and two deaths
• George County has 102 cases and three deaths
• Pearl River County has 276 cases and 32 deaths
