COVID-19: 353 new cases and 20 new deaths

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 353 new cases of COVID-19 in the state and 20 new deaths including 24 new cases reported within our six southern counties.

The statewide total stands at 20,152 cases and 915 deaths.

In our area:

  • Hancock County reported no new cases. They still stand at 100 cases and 12 deaths.
  • Harrison County reported 10 new cases now at 377 and seven deaths.
  • Jackson County reported 11 new cases. They’re currently at 378 cases and 16 deaths.
  • Stone County has no new cases at 34 cases and no deaths.
  • George County has three new cases now at 40 cases and two deaths.
  • Pearl River County has no new cases, still at 223 cases and 31 deaths.

MSDH reports 15,323 people have presumably recovered from the virus.
