COVID-19: 1,775 new cases, 48 new deaths statewide

The Mississippi State Department of Health has released the latest COVID-19 numbers in our state. They have reported 1,775 new cases and 48 new deaths.

The statewide total now stands at 56,770 confirmed cases and 1,570 deaths.

Here are the numbers for our area:

• Hancock County is now at 310 cases and 14 deaths
• Harrison County is at 1,987 cases and 29 deaths
• Jackson County is at 1,820 cases and 34 deaths
• Stone County is at 138 cases and three deaths
• George County has 517 cases and five deaths
• Pearl River County stands at 462 cases and 35 deaths.
