COVID-19: 1,505 new cases, 20 new deaths statewide

The Mississippi State Department of Health has released the latest COVID-19 numbers in our state. They have reported 1,505 new cases and 20 new deaths.

The statewide total now stands at 55,046 confirmed cases and 1,524 deaths.

Here are the numbers for our area:

• Hancock County is now at 298 cases and 14 deaths
• Harrison County is at 1,944 cases and 27 deaths
• Jackson County is at 1,772 cases and 30 deaths
• Stone County is at 134 cases and three deaths
• George County has 378 cases and five deaths
• Pearl River County stands at 452 cases and 35 deaths.
