COVID-19: 1,342 new cases, 42 new deaths statewide

The Mississippi State Department of Health has released the latest COVID-19 numbers in our state. They have reported 1,342 new cases and 42 new deaths.

The statewide total now stands at 54,299 confirmed cases and 1,543 deaths.

Here are the numbers for our area:

• Hancock County is now at 291 cases and 14 deaths
• Harrison County is at 1,868 cases and 27 deaths
• Jackson County is at 1,638 cases and 29 deaths
• Stone County is at 132 cases and three deaths
• George County has 256 cases and five deaths
• Pearl River County stands at 444 cases and 35 deaths.
