COVID-19: 1,251 new cases, three new deaths statewide

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 1,251 new COVID-19 cases and three new deaths.

The statewide total now stands at 43,889 confirmed cases and 1,358 deaths.

Here are the numbers for our area:

• Hancock County is at 204 cases and still 14 deaths
• Harrison County is at 1,456 cases and 18 deaths
• Jackson County is at 1,115 cases and 22 deaths
• Stone County is at 104 cases and two deaths
• George County is at 179 cases and three deaths
• Pearl River County is at 371 cases and 32 deaths
