COVID-19: 1,230 new cases, 18 new deaths statewide

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 1,230 new COVID-19 cases and 18 new deaths.

Now the statewide total stands at 39,797 confirmed cases and 1,308 deaths.

Here are the numbers for our area:

• Hancock County is now at 172 cases and 14 deaths
• Harrison County is now at 1,305 total cases and 17 deaths
• Jackson County is now at 874 cases and 20 deaths
• Stone County is now at 88 cases and two deaths
• George County has 139 total cases and three deaths
• Pearl River County stands at 331 total cases and still 32 deaths
