COVID-19: 956 new cases, 21 new deaths statewide

The Mississippi State Department of Health reported 956 new COVID-19 cases and 21 new deaths.

The statewide total now stands at 64,400 confirmed cases and 1,825 deaths.

Here are the numbers in our area:

• Hancock County is at 363 cases and 14 deaths
• Harrison County is at 2,378 cases and 35 deaths
• Jackson County is at 2,201 cases and 42 deaths
• Stone County is at 163 cases and three deaths
• George County has 548 cases and four deaths
• Pearl River County has 520 cases and 37 deaths
