County Cracking Down On Heroin

But…is this case is an example of a much bigger problem in the county.
Hancock county narcotics agents say since Tuesday of this week, at least four individuals have been taken to the Hancock Medical Center in need of emergency treatment after injecting heroin one of those has since died.
With this high number of overdoses during a short amount of time, narcotic agents believe the current supply of illegal heroin on the streets in Hancock County could be compounded with another dangerous substance.
Sheriff Ricky Adams says they are quickly working to identify the source of this drug to shut it down.
They will work around the clock to prevent more of these tragic accidents and bring those committing drug crimes in Hancock County to justice.
