Coroner Identifies Pedestrian Hit by Car

The pedestrian hit and killed by a car in Gulfport Monday night has been identified, but officials need the public’s help in locating his family members.
Harrison County Deputy Coroner Brian Switzer identified the man as Douglas Mack of Gulfport.
Gulfport police responded to a pedestrian involved accident at the intersection of East Pass Road and Ford Street just before 8 last night.
According to police, Mack was trying to cross the road when he was hit by a person driving a 2008 white Chevy Cobalt.
Switzer says the office is having trouble locating close friends or relatives of the victim. If you know or are related to Douglas Mack, please call the Coroner’s Office at 228-865-4290 as soon as possible.
