“Corner to Corner” Walk spotted in South Mississippi
An organization advocating for military veterans is marching its way across the country and was seen in South Mississippi.
The Walk for Vets Foundation is currently en route to Forks, Washington, after starting their journey on foot from the Florida Keys in what is known as the “Corner to Corner” Walk.
Today, their expedition started in Pascagoula, walking along Highway 90 to their stopping point in Biloxi.
The “Corner to Corner” walk is done to raise awareness for military veterans dealing with PTSD, traumatic brain injury, homelessness, and suicide among the veteran population.
As they make their way across the country, they will be delivering a special gift to a young boy in San Diego.
“So we have a mission flag that was presented to us by Flags America S-Corp. and we are walking that to San Diego to a seven-year-old boy,” said John Ring, founder of Walk4Vets.org. “His dad was a Marine Combat veteran who took his own life March 10th, 2022. Before doing so he wrote a goodbye letter, and in there he wanted people to be helped. He wanted to help people. He wanted people to see his letter reach out, get help before they got to the point that he did”
