Cool treats on the Coast

Gulfport Main Street Association wants you to know there are cool spots to beat the heat on the Coast.
Interns with Gulfport Main Street spearheaded a project to create a website where you can find over a dozen businesses that offer frozen treats. Those include popsicles, snow cones, Italian ice, and much more. The website features the address to each business, pictures of some products, plus customer reviews.
The interns tell News 25 this allowed them to transfer what they learned in the classroom and apply it to the real world. Intern Nicholas Myers said, “It’s not until you actually get in the real world to where you use the terms and everything that you learn in school. It’s really good I got this internship because I’m able to get real world marketing experience rather than sitting in a textbook and reading what it actually is.”
