Cookies for Santa
With Christmas just three days away, Santa is probably working up an appetite preparing for his big flight on Christmas Eve.
Today, local kids made sure he has something special to snack on after he climbs down their chimneys. The Mary C. O’Keefe Cultural Center in Ocean Springs hosted Cookies for Santa where local kids gathered to decorate their very own Christmas tree shaped cookies to take home and put under the tree on Christmas Eve. Nicholas Michelini, who decorated cookies for Santa, said, “One of my trees, I put a gator sign on it because I’m a big Gators fan. That’s fun and I also spelled my name in the cookies. I’m probably going to eat half of them and then give the rest to Santa.” Leah Rice, who also decorated cookies for Santa, said, “I’m basically going to eat two when I get home and save the rest for Santa. This is really fun. You get to decorate however you want.”
The next fun winter event will be a Frosty the Snowman pajama party for preschoolers on Saturday, January 9th. Visit the Maryc.org for more details.
