Construction set for Mississippi Songwriters Performing Arts Center in Gautier

More development on the way for the City of Gautier!
Construction will begin on the Mississippi Songwriters Performing Arts Center early summer 2024. The anticipated completed construction date is late winter 2025. MSPAC should be ready to open in early 2026.
The overall project of The Sound Amphitheater and the Mississippi Songwriters Performing Arts Center is between $15-16 million. The economic impact forecast predicts that the combined project of the amphitheater and the MSPAC will bring in over 80,000 people per year and over $20 million annual increase in revenue boost to the area.
The Mississippi Songwriters Performing Arts Center (MSPAC) will have the following programming and activities:
- Exhibits open to the public will highlight members of the Mississippi Songwriters Hall of Fame and allow the public to see Mississippi songwriters’ impact on the music industry from a global perspective.
- The record label and publishing company will operate out of the MSPAC.
- Recording engineer workshops and classes
- State of the art Adobe Atmos recording studio for artists, songwriters, bands, and other commercial applications (Netflix, Hulu, music and television industry)
- Songwriter workshops for all ages
- Songwriter retreats with pro-level writers from Nashville, New York, and Los Angeles
- Music education for vocals, guitar, bass, piano, and other instruments offered to the public
- Writing classes for senior citizens working with professional writers to tell their stories through short story or song formats
- Field trips for school aged kids to tour the facility
