Construction continues on Mississippi Songwriters Performing Arts Center in Gautier

GAUTIER, Miss. (WXXV)- An exciting project celebrating Mississippi’s musical roots is taking shape on the Coast.

Construction is moving full speed ahead on the Mississippi Songwriters Performing Arts Center and Hall of Fame in Gautier.

Work on the center is steadily progressing. Some of the exterior walls are already up, marking a major milestone since crews broke ground on August 15.

Once complete, the facility will celebrate the Magnolia State’s rich musical legacy, honoring legendary artists like Jimmy Buffett and B.B. King whose stories, memorabilia, and timeless songs will be featured inside the Hall of Fame.

From museum exhibits to live performances, the Mississippi Songwriters Performing Arts Center is set to become a cultural cornerstone for Gautier and the entire Gulf Coast.

A grand opening date will be announced as soon as construction nears completion later this year.
