Construction causing delays on I-10 West

If you’re commuting down I-10 going west, build in enough time for traffic delays.

The construction of the popular travel center, Buc-ee’s, was causing significant delays for drivers earlier.

The world’s largest gas station is coming to Pass Christian.

While the Menge Avenue exit is closed for construction, Mississippi Highway Patrol spokesperson Cal Robertson urges drivers to pay attention to keep workers safe.

“They are closing of the Menge Avenue exit for the future home of Buc-ee’s. We want drivers to be aware of the move over law,” Robertson said. “Now what that does, it requires drivers to slow down if there’s construction workers, MDOT, law enforcement, first responder personnel. They are required to move one lane over to keep everyone safe.”

Mississippi Highway Patrol did not provide any specific alternate routes or advice outside of having patience on the road.
