Construction begins on Bayview Boardwalk project in Biloxi

Progress is being made on a new recreational development located on the Back Bay of Biloxi.

Construction has begun on the Bayview Boardwalk project which will run as a concrete walkway from the Forest Avenue fishing pier all the way to Kensington Drive.

Right now, the project has an estimated completion date of September and crews are currently putting sheet piles along the path before starting work on the boardwalk.

The pathway will have benches and a pavilion and will give residents another access point to enjoy the Back Bay. Vincent Creel with the City of Biloxi said, “That area had not been accessible, there had been a bunch of rocks that had been piled up there over the years, we’re going to take care of all of that. It’s going to look inviting; it’s going to be attractive, and it’s going to be a really nice streetscape there.”

The two-million-dollar project was designed by Biloxi’s Seymour Engineering Firm.
