Congressman Steven Palazzo speaks at Gautier Rotary Club meeting

Congressman Steven Palazzo stopped by the Gautier Rotary Club meeting to speak with the elected officials, law enforcement officers, small business owners, and community leaders about the work he is doing in Washington.

At the meeting, Palazzo focused on three points: securing the borders, funding and protecting law enforcement, and cybersecurity.

In 2021, two million immigrants crossed the U.S. border and Palazzo says his goal is to protect our coastal communities.

Palazzo also wants to make sure police officers have all the funding they need so they can have all the tools needed to protect and serve.

Palazzo also talked about cracking down on hardening and securing cyber capabilities. “When I’m back in the district, I want to be able to get out and meet people, business leaders, community leaders. Just anyone and just find out what is on their heart, what’s on their minds, what do they want to talk about. So, I can give them an update on what we are addressing.”

Congressman Palazzo also talked about the community funding grants that Jackson County acquired to go towards various projects.
