Congressman Steven Palazzo on COVID-19
U.S. Representative for Mississippi’s 4th Congressional District Steven Palazzo spoke with News 25 today about a number of things he says are important to the Magnolia State including the ongoing battle with COVID-19.
Mississippi’s latest update as of January 10th is 5,737 new cases and 20 deaths.
Congressman Palazzo says one major factor impacting the state is the lack of testing available. He says it’s the federal government that really needs to step up. “The administration is failing to address COVID. He promised when he was elected, he would shut down COVID, but instead he shut down jobs. He shut down schools. He shut down jobs. He shut down people’s livelihoods. I think the states can do a better job managing COVID with the assistance of the federal government. I’ve been a huge opponent of vaccine mandates. I believe a person should be able to choose for himself, his family, along with guidance from his doctor and the federal government should not be telling us what to jab in our bodies.”
Mississippi’s U.S Congress elections are later this year.
