Congressional Roundtable set for Tuesday to discuss Mississippi Sound issues
Congressional leaders are coming to the Coast Tuesday to discuss water issues impacting South Mississippi.
At Congressman Mike Ezell’s invitation, the House Transportation and Infrastructure Committee’s Water Resources and Environment Subcommittee will hold a public roundtable Tuesday, July 28 at MGCCC’S Hospitality Resort Management Center on the Harrison County campus.
Lawmakers, the Mississippi Sound Coalition, and other invited witnesses are expected to discuss Corps of Engineers issues, including permitting reform and the impacts of the Bonnet Carre Spillway on the Mississippi Sound.
The public is welcome to attend and may submit written questions to the round table.
