Compete To Complete Degree Completion Program

Starting today, Governor Phil Bryant has announced the state of Mississippi is trying to do its part to reach out to former college students and help them complete their degrees. “Compete to Complete” is an initiative meant to encourage Mississippi adults who have completed some college credits, but no degree, to return and complete the necessary requirements to graduate. According to the governor’s office, almost 300-thousand Mississippians have attended a public university or community college in the last 15 years, but never finished their degree. Governor Bryant believes this partnership will ensure Mississippi remains attractive to business and industry looking for a favorable tax climate and a workforce ready to excel on day one.
