Community turns out for fish fry benefit for daughter of retired Biloxi officer battling stage 3 cancer
Dozens of people came out in support of Melissa Miller, the daughter of retired Biloxi Police Officer Wayne Miller.
Biloxi PD and Swetman Security hosted a fish fry today in Biloxi to help the 37-year-old single mom battling stage three cancer with medical costs.
Law enforcement and community members poured on to the District Green in Biloxi while loved ones whipped up catfish, fries, coleslaw, and bread.
Melissa, who was at the event, says it means so much to see how many people care about her journey. “I’m overwhelmed with all the support. I couldn’t have asked for a better community or a better group of friends and family.”
The fish fry sold out within an hour.
