Community gathers in Picayune for candlelight vigil honoring violence victims
PICAYUNE, Miss. (WXXV)- Community members in Picayune gathered Tuesday night to mourn the loss of Americans killed in recent acts of violence.
A candlelight vigil took place at the Crosby Commons and served as a way to remember Charlie Kirk, the victims of recent school shootings in Minnesota and Colorado, as well as victims of violence in general.
Attendees prayed, lit candles, or displayed their phone lights as organizers spoke on the need for unity and prayer in the wake of such tragedies.
