Community comes together for Downtown Ocean Springs Gingerbread Bash and Dinner
On Wednesday night St. Paul’s in Ocean Springs was host to the Gingerbread Bash and Family Dinner.
People from across the community were invited to a night of free homemade meals as well as holiday entertainment, with the highly anticipated and highly competitive gingerbread house building competition to top off the night’s festivities.
However, Wednesday night was about more than just making gingerbread houses and eating food, but rather making sure that everyone has a community to be a part of during the holiday season. St. Paul’s host these dinners on the third Wednesday of every month and whether you’re a a member or the church or not, they invite everyone to a place at their table, especially during the holiday season.
“I don’t care if you’re 13, 5, or 82, you’re my family and I love you being here. I think it’s so important for the kids and the elders and everybody to become a family and grow together because that’s the only way we can make it in this world is with family and friends,” said St. Paul’s Church member, Nate Goff.
St. Paul’s dinners are open to the public and members of the public are always encouraged to join.
