Community comes out to celebrate at Gulfport High homecoming parade

GULFPORT, Miss. (WXXV)- Streets in Gulfport were buzzing Thursday afternoon as the school hosted its annual homecoming parade.

Hundreds of paradegoers lined a downtown route to celebrate the festivities and catch plenty of beads, candy, and small toys

The parade featured the Gulfport High School Admiral band, various athletic teams, student organizations, groups from within the school district, Gulfport Club sweethearts, and members of the Homecoming Court.

Royalty from years past were also invited to ride in the parade.

Homecoming festivities conclude with a big rivalry game between Gulfport and Biloxi at Milner Stadium Friday at 7 p.m.
