Community comes out for Zonta Arts and Crafts Festival in Downtown Pascagoula
It was a jam-packed Saturday in Downtown Pascagoula for the Zonta Arts and Crafts Festival.
This was the 47th annual festival for the Zonta of Pascagoula, featuring art, good food, and live music, nearly 200 local vendors set up shop to display their crafts.
Proceeds from the festival help support the Zonta Club’s local charity efforts and provide scholarships to students. Artist Ryan Merrill said, “Over the years, you can see how the festival has helped this area grow with the development. There’s been new shops, restaurants, boutiques, that have popped up.”
Zonta of Pascagoula President Patricia Powell said, “This festival is put on for mainly our fundraising so that we can do the support for all of Home of Grace, Adrian’s House, CASA, and all of them.”
“It’s great to get out here and connect, not only you’re selling your goods and talking and mingling, but also get getting out and enjoying the weather.”
The mission of Zonta International is to improve the lives of women and girls through service and advocacy.
