Community comes out for the Spring Arts Festival in Ocean Springs

It’s officially been spring for a few days now and that means the return of the Spring Arts Festival.

The City of Ocean Springs has celebrated its arts and culture through this seasonal festival for 31 years now.

It’s a way for local artists and vendors to sell and showcase their work. This year, more than 200 of them showed out for the two-day event.

News 25 spoke to a few vendors to see what they love most about the festival. Bonnie Andrews with Jackson County Master Gardener said, “It’s always exciting to see people come through the plant sale and be surprised what’s available for them, and wanting to learn how to use them. And plant them and what they can do with them.”

Cynthia Sutton with Ocean Springs Main Street said, “Well to bring the whole family out, shop for springtime fun. We have all kinds of things out here this weekend.”

Florida artist John Davis said, “Why I come up here to the shows is the people. The people that I interact with are pretty loving and very, very friendly.”
